HELPING HANDS - 5 TOWNS is a service provided to the residents of Pontefract, Normanton, Featherstone, Castleford, Knottingley and other surrounding areas.

Owned and operated by Roxanne, Who, after working in various roles and positions over a period of 14 years within the NHS and Private care sector decided that she had more to give to her local community.

"It was very clear to me that a lot of home care companies were run by people who had never been hands on and done care work themselves and therefore would never understand the emotional and physical demand that most clients and their families were needing.

Whilst working within the care sector I came across a lot of things that I would have liked to change about the service and I knew that I had to do something to make a difference to how people were looked after in their own homes.

My aim was to provide a GENUINE, CARING and TRUSTWORTHY service that enabled people to stay happy in their own homes for as long as is physically possibly -  and 'm pleased to say that we are achieving that.

I personally don't agree with lots of different carers going in and out of peoples homes and that is why I assign each of our service users their own small team of P.A's which helps us deliver that more personalised 1 to 1 service and because that is what I would want for my own family. "
